Qualifications
5-8+ years of international and domestic shipping and logistics experience or related experience in manufacturing
Strong attention to detail, with excellent follow-up.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work well with internal and external customers.
Efficient written and oral communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Well organized, self-motivated, able to exercise independent judgment, and demonstrate good problem solving skills.
Prior knowledge of US Export Controls, AES, Foreign Trade Regulations, Standard practices for handling international shipments, HTS, Import Customs and Logistics.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, proficient in MS Office. (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
Must possess strong working knowledge of international shipping documentation and terminology (customers, commercial invoicing, tariff documentation etc.)
Understanding of the US Automated Export System (AES)
Understanding of US Export Controls, EAR, FTR, Incoterms and Import Regulations
Understand and properly apply the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Codes
Preferred:
Working knowledge of JD Edwards
At least 5+ years of experience in a customer service capacity within a global industry: oil & gas or International Freight Forwarding
Basic knowledge of oilfield industry, products and services
