KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Purchasing experience in shipchandler, ship manager or shipyard
• Resourceful with good knowledge of marine suppliers
• Negotiations skills with suppliers (price, delivery, credit terms etc)
• Analysis of quotations and make recommendations to requestors
• Microsoft Excel and SAP knowledge (preferable but not a MUST)
• Resourceful with good knowledge of marine suppliers

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Office-based
• Occasionally may require visiting shipyard or vessel
• Liaise with the ship supt for purchase requirements (shipowner scope)
• Liaise with the yard supt for ship repair manager for purchase requirements (shipyard scope)
