Position: Chief Mechanic
Location: Nigeria (Amphion Jackup rigs)
Job Description:
Lead the mechanical maintenance team—ensure mechanical systems, rotating equipment and rig machinery are maintained, repaired and available for operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise mechanical maintenance and repair programs.
• Plan preventive maintenance and manage breakdown responses.
• Ensure spare parts control and machinery logbooks.
• Mentor mechanics and enforce safety in the workshop.
• Coordinate with drilling and engineering teams during operations.
Requirements:
• Strong mechanical background on jackup rigs.
• Experience with Amphion systems considered essential.
• Mechanical trade certificates and offshore medical.
• Good troubleshooting and leadership skills.
