Overview:
Wood is seeking a QC Inspector for a large pump station and pipeline project in eastern Arizona. This will be an onsite position, 10-hr days M-F with occasional weekend work, and monthly home-trips.

Key Responsibilities:
Performs field quality activities as outlined in the specification requirements and/ or inspection and test plans, such as daily subcontractor oversight, subgrade inspections, liner installation, equipment inspection, material inspection, material sampling, rebar inspections, welding inspections (civil and mechanical works mostly) etc.;
Oversees the Contractor's testing activities;
Follows contract specification, approved submittals and drawings for performing field inspections;
Ensures fieldwork is carried out following relevant project documents (plans, procedures, work instructions etc.);
Identifies non-conformances or potential non-conformances and raises them to the Wood Project Manager and Owner for capture and correction;
Prepares daily QC reports detailing QC activities completed and their statuses (e.g. monitoring of sensitive installations or conditions, Recording areas of failed tests);
Notifies the Wood Project Manager and Owner of fieldwork that is carried out incorrectly or its execution will result in a non-conformance;
Assist with resolving field issues
Work with the Owner and Contractors to ensure project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are achieved
Monitor the three week look-ahead schedules submitted by the Contractor and report deviations and activities not being met to the Owner's Project Controller
