Structural Engineer

Job Purpose
·Sound understanding of Engineering practices, design methods & calculations
·Experience in structural steel design preferably in Offshore and Subsea field (Accordance with applicable industry code – DNV / ASME / API, etc.) and fatigue analysis.
·Preferred experience in SACS / other beam element software.
·Preferred knowledge in Finite element experience on ANSYS / Abaqus software.
·Preferred knowledge in hydrodynamics and wave / current loading.

(Skills & Qualifications)
i. Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering - CAD / Engineering Design / Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
ii. 3-10 years of relevant industry experience with knowledge in design codes of Oil & Gas industry (DNV / AISC / ASME / API / ND)
iii. Experience in structural steel design
iv. Experience in SACS / other beam element software
·Nice to have
i. ANSYS / ABAQUS expertise,
ii. Mathcad experience
iii. Subsea Design expertise
iv. Knowledge in Hydrodynamics and wave loading
Main Accountabilities
·Participates as a fully contributing member of a project team;
·Responsible for following company;s processes, Industry standards and best practices to deliver complete and accurate documents;
·Must have the drive and initiative to independently communicate, gather information and make sound engineering decisions;
·Manages technical design scope (full or partial) and ensure technical compliance and quality as well as on-time delivery;
·Attend meetings with project teams and interface within and with other disciplines to provide engineering solutions;
·Travel to and attend site as required to guide, inspect or oversee fabrication of structural items;
·Review engineering & fabrication drawings to ensure alignment with structure design and analysis.
