We are currently hiring Assistant Crane Operators to join our client’s drillship fleet. These are permanent offshore positions offering long-term rotational employment with a leading offshore drilling operator.

Successful candidates must be available to mobilise in early 2026 to commence a 28/28 rotation.

Role Overview

Assistant Crane Operators support safe and efficient lifting operations onboard the drillship, working closely with Crane Operators and deck teams. The role requires strong technical competence, strict adherence to safety procedures, and experience with offshore lifting equipment in a drilling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Crane Operators during all lifting and cargo-handling operations
• Support safe execution of deck and subsea lifting activities
• Operate and maintain crane-related equipment under supervision
• Ensure compliance with lifting plans, company procedures, and safety standards
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and operational briefings
• Assist with inspections, maintenance, and certification checks of lifting gear

Nationality Requirements

Due to work permit restrictions, only candidates holding one of the following nationalities will be considered:

• EU Member States
• EEA Countries: Iceland, Norway, Switzerland
• Balkans: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia
• Eastern Europe: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine
• Africa: South Africa
• Asia: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years operational experience as an Assistant Crane Operator
• Experience must be within the last 5 years
• Experience onboard MODUs (Drillships or Semi-submersibles) is mandatory
• In-depth knowledge of NOV Knuckleboom lifting equipment

Mandatory Certification

• OPITO BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS
• Valid Medical Certificate (OGUK or STCW)
• Relevant offshore crane and safety certifications

Additional Requirements

• Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based offshore environment
• Willingness to commit to permanent rotational employment
