Job description
The Chief Engineer is the senior engineer officer responsible for the mechanical propulsion of the ship, and the operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical installations in order to ensure that the vessel operates as required to conduct data acquisitions, inspections and underwater interventions.
Provides support in areas such as production, operations, and maintenance to engineers and scientists for data acquisition and interpretation. Executes operations in the field (onshore and offshore, e.g. on vessels, diving, ROV/AUV/CPT/Drilling and other in-situ testing). Plans, coordinates and/or directs operations, including resource planning and management for field operations. Supports offshore operations management with specific administrative expertise.

Job requirements
All by STCW for this position required licenses and certificates; Training as per Company Training Matrix
Must be medically fit. A medical examination shall be issued in accordance with the requirements of the STCW Code / Flag State Administration. Due to local and/or client requirements there may be additional medical fitness certification required.
