Unmanned vessel Mayflower returned to port

The world's first unmanned vessel, the Mayflower, returned to port due to a malfunction.

A solar powered vessel without a captain or crew has returned to the UK due to a malfunction.

As it has already been known, on June 16 this year, the unmanned vessel Mayflower, built according to the MAS400 project, set off on a 5,630 km journey from Plymouth in the UK to Massachusetts in the USA. It was supposed to take about three weeks, however, on Friday the ship returned to the English port, due to a malfunction.

As previously reported, the University of Plymouth is developing a project for a full-size experimental fully automated vessel.
