American supply transport ship entered the Black Sea

Three hours ago, an American supply transport USNS John Lenthall (T-AO-189) entered the Black Sea.
The vessel will take part in a joint operation with NATO allies and partner countries in the Black Sea to ensure security and stability in the region.

The supply vessel is of the Henry J. Kaiser type, entered service in July 1987, but was mothballed from November 1996 to December 1998.

"John Lenthall" has a length of 206 meters, a width of 30 meters, a draft of 10.7 meters, a total displacement of 41,000 tons. The crew consists of 89 sailors. It can take on board about 30 thousand tons of kerosene or diesel fuel. The ship has a helipad.
