Job Description

TOS People is seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter to join a Jack-Up Barge offshore project.

The successful candidate will perform welding, fabrication, fitting, and mechanical repair activities to support equipment maintenance and safe vessel operations. Candidates should have practical hands-on skills and understand offshore workshop and hot-work safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding, metal fabrication, fitting, and mechanical repairs.
• Prepare components and surfaces for welding and assembly.
• Repair or fabricate metal structures, brackets, pipework, and equipment as assigned.
• Inspect completed work and report defects or quality concerns.
• Maintain welding tools, workshop equipment, and hand tools.
• Follow approved work procedures and hot-work permit requirements.
• Use appropriate protective equipment and comply with HSE standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to complete work safely.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Welder / Fitter on Jack-Up Barges or similar offshore installations.
• Relevant welding and fitting qualifications or certificates.
• Valid welding certifications appropriate to the work, where required.
• Valid STCW certificates and other required maritime documents, where applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman's Book, where applicable.
• Experience with fabrication, mechanical repairs, and safe use of workshop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability for offshore mobilisation as required.
