Fitter / Welder for OSV DP2

Job Description

Atlas Nextwave is seeking an experienced Fitter / Welder to join a DP2 Offshore Support Vessel operating in Nigeria. This is a permanent rotation position with an 8 weeks on / 8 weeks off schedule.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, welding, and cutting activities onboard the offshore vessel. Joining is planned for approximately 10 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore vessel equipment.
• Perform fabrication, fitting, welding, and cutting works.
• Inspect machinery, structures, and equipment and report defects.
• Support planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Follow vessel HSE procedures and safe working practices during all maintenance and hot-work operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fitter on offshore vessels.
• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and fabrication works.
• Good welding and cutting skills.
• Valid STCW certification.
• Valid BOSIET including HUET with CA-EBS.
• Valid Offshore Medical.
• Valid Yellow Fever vaccination.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an offshore environment.
