Location: Qatar
We are currently recruiting an experienced Fitter to join a Cable Lay Vessel (CLV) operating in Qatar. The role involves supporting offshore construction operations by carrying out mechanical fitting, fabrication, and welding tasks to ensure safe and efficient vessel and project operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the engine and deck departments, contributing to maintenance, repair, and fabrication works during offshore cable-laying activities.
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Carrying out mechanical fitting, engine fitting, and fabrication tasks onboard
• Performing welding and lathe operations as required
• Assisting with maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and structures
• Supporting offshore construction and cable-lay operations
• Complying with vessel safety management systems and offshore procedures
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proven experience as a Fitter on offshore or construction vessels
• Strong skills in welding, lathe work, fabrication, and engine fitting
• Proficiency in English communication
