Job Description
OOS International BV is seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent for a full-time position supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of its offshore fleet.
The Marine Superintendent will serve as a key link between shore-based management, vessel crews, and relevant maritime authorities. The role involves monitoring vessel performance, maintaining high safety standards, supporting operational compliance, and ensuring that fleet activities meet company policies and applicable maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Monitor vessel performance and support safe, efficient offshore fleet operations.
- Coordinate with vessel Masters, onboard crews, and shore-based management.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures, and HSE standards.
- Support operational planning, vessel inspections, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with relevant maritime authorities and other stakeholders.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate corrective actions to maintain fleet readiness.
Requirements
- Relevant maritime qualifications and professional experience.
- Previous experience in a Marine Superintendent or similar shore-based marine management role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vessel operations and maritime safety standards.
- Experience coordinating vessel crews and shore-based teams.
- Familiarity with applicable maritime regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with vessel personnel, management, and external authorities.
