Job Description

Sheffield Energies is recruiting an experienced Chief Mate / Senior DPO for a deepwater S-Lay pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The successful candidate will support the Master in managing deck operations, cargo and lifting activities, bridge watchkeeping, safety procedures and dynamic positioning operations.

Requirements

• Previous Chief Mate experience on offshore, pipelay, heavy-lift or construction vessels preferred.
• Valid Chief Mate Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
• Valid DPO certification and relevant DP experience.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant offshore certificates.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Strong leadership, communication and safety-management skills.
• Good command of English.
• Available for mobilization in December 2026, subject to client approval.
• Expatriate candidates preferred for officer positions.
