Job Description: We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Chief Mate / SDPO to join a DP-2 Cable Layer vessel. The role involves supporting offshore subsea cable installation operations, ensuring safe and efficient vessel positioning using DP systems, and overseeing bridge and deck operations during complex offshore construction activities. The position requires a strong background in DP operations and cable laying projects.
Key Responsibilities: As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to: • Operate and supervise DP-2 system during cable laying operations
• Support safe navigation and vessel positioning during offshore construction works
• Assist Master with bridge management and operational planning
• Coordinate deck and offshore installation activities
• Ensure compliance with DP procedures, safety standards, and project requirements
Requirements: • Proven experience as Chief Mate / SDPO on DP-2 vessels
• Experience on cable laying vessels is highly preferred
• Valid STCW certificates
• DP Unlimited certification
• Medical fitness certificate
• Strong offshore project and DP operations background
• Proficiency in English communication
