Job Description:

Our client, a drilling and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Rigger Foreman to join various offshore projects operating worldwide, including KSA, UAE, and Qatar.

The successful candidate will lead and supervise rigging crews during lifting, load handling, and marine operations. The role requires strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging procedures, offshore safety standards, and the ability to coordinate effectively with deck crews and vessel personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and guiding rigging crews during lifting and material-handling activities.
  • Ensuring lifting operations are performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Inspecting lifting gear and rigging equipment to ensure it is certified and fit for use.
  • Monitoring equipment condition and immediately reporting damaged or unsafe lifting gear.
  • Maintaining proper organization and storage of lifting tools and accessories.
  • Keeping work areas clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
  • Conducting pre-shift toolbox talks and assisting with JSAs when required.
  • Supporting marine crews during mooring, unmooring, and barge operations.
  • Stopping operations whenever unsafe conditions or unacceptable risks are identified.
  • Carrying out additional deck and rigging duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Previous offshore rigging experience in marine or construction environments.
  • Good understanding of lifting operations, rigging equipment, and load-handling procedures.
  • Ability to inspect lifting gear and identify damaged or unsafe equipment.
  • Knowledge of offshore safety practices, toolbox talks, Permit to Work, and JSA processes.
  • Ability to work closely with deck crews and vessel personnel during marine operations.
  • Scaffold erection certification is an advantage.
  • Effective English communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational discipline.

  • Position: Rigger Foreman
  • Project: Various Offshore Projects
  • Location: Worldwide – KSA, UAE, Qatar
  • Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable
  • Rotation: 112/28 days on/off or 56/28 days on/off
  • Start Date: TBC
  • Salary: Monthly salary, paid only while working; candidates should state realistic salary expectations when applying
  • Insurance: Provided by the company
