Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Rigger for upcoming offshore assignments onboard a Walk-to-Work vessel.
The successful candidate will support lifting operations by preparing rigging equipment, checking lifting gear and ensuring that rigging activities are conducted safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and inspect rigging equipment before lifting operations.
- Select appropriate slings, shackles and other lifting accessories.
- Assist with lifting, loading and cargo-handling activities.
- Ensure lifting gear is used within its rated capacity.
- Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Communicate effectively with crane operators and lifting teams.
- Maintain equipment and rigging work areas in safe condition.
- Participate in toolbox talks and offshore safety activities.
- Report defective equipment and unsafe conditions.
Requirements
- Brunei nationality – mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years / 24 months of relevant rigging experience.
- Previous offshore vessel or offshore project experience.
- Relevant rigging qualification / competency certification.
- Knowledge of lifting equipment and safe rigging practices.
- Valid offshore safety and medical certificates, as required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
