Job Description:
Archer Offshore is currently looking for an experienced Rigger to join an offshore project in Aberdeen.
The position is scheduled to start on 28 July 2026 for an initial 1-week assignment, with the possibility of an extension depending on project requirements.
The successful candidate must hold current OPITO Rigger Stage 3 or above and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Stage 3 or above certification.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out rigging and lifting operations safely and efficiently.
Assist with the preparation, slinging, securing, and movement of heavy loads.
Perform banksman and signalling duties during lifting operations.
Inspect lifting equipment and rigging gear before use.
Follow all offshore lifting, safety, and company procedures.
Requirements:
OPITO Rigger Stage 3 or above – mandatory.
OPITO Banksman & Slinger Stage 3 or above – mandatory.
DBS check or Disclosure issued within the last 3 years.
Relevant offshore rigging experience.
Valid offshore safety certificates as applicable.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Good English communication skills.
Strong safety awareness.
