Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Rigger to join an upcoming Cable Lay Barge project in the Netherlands. Mobilization is scheduled for late August or early September. The successful candidate will support offshore lifting, rigging, and cable installation activities on shallow water cable lay operations, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and offshore safety standards. Due to project requirements, applications are open to EU candidates only.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform rigging and lifting operations during cable lay activities.
Assist with the installation, handling, and positioning of subsea cables and equipment.
Inspect and maintain lifting gear and rigging equipment.
Follow lifting plans and ensure compliance with offshore HSE procedures.
Support deck operations and maintain a safe working environment onboard.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience as a Rigger on Cable Lay Barges operating in shallow waters is mandatory.
Valid offshore rigging and lifting certifications relevant to the position.
