Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join a Cable Lay Vessel engaged in offshore cable-laying operations.

Previous onboard experience on Cable Lay Vessels is essential. Candidates must have valid STCW certificates relevant to their position. Aramco or ADNOC approval is highly preferred.

The successful candidate will assist the deck team with routine vessel operations, maintenance, housekeeping, and cable-laying support activities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with deck cleaning, painting, maintenance, and preservation.
• Support mooring, anchoring, and general deck operations under supervision.
• Assist with preparing and handling equipment used in cable-laying operations.
• Maintain tools, deck equipment, and assigned working areas.
• Assist Able Seamen and other deck personnel with daily tasks.
• Report damaged equipment, hazards, and unsafe working conditions.
• Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks.
• Follow instructions from the Bosun and senior deck officers.

Requirements

• Previous experience onboard Cable Lay Vessels – mandatory.
• Previous experience as an Ordinary Seaman or in a similar deck-rating position.
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where applicable.
• Valid Ordinary Seaman documentation or other required qualifications, as applicable.
• Aramco / ADNOC approval – highly preferred.
• Good English communication skills.
• Good understanding of deck safety, housekeeping, and safe equipment-handling procedures.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of an offshore crew.
