Job Description:

Boreas Maritime is seeking an Ordinary Seaman / Cook (OS/Cook) to join Tug 01, operating around Jamaica and Caribbean routes. The position combines general deck duties with onboard meal preparation and galley responsibilities.

Candidates should have relevant maritime and cooking experience, appropriate certificates, and the ability to support daily tugboat operations while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and food hygiene. Applicants based in the Caribbean or Latin America are particularly welcome. A valid US visa is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with routine deck operations, mooring, and general vessel duties.
• Prepare meals for the crew and maintain galley cleanliness.
• Ensure proper food storage and safe food handling.
• Assist with deck maintenance and onboard housekeeping.
• Follow vessel safety procedures and support emergency preparedness.

• Relevant maritime qualifications and certificates for the assigned duties.

• Valid medical fitness certificate.
