Job Description:
Helder Maritiem is seeking an experienced Winch Operator to join a Tug Vessel operating in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient winch operations, assisting with towing activities, deck operations, and vessel manoeuvring support.
Candidates with previous tug vessel experience are preferred. Dutch-speaking applicants will have an advantage, and strong communication skills in Dutch or English are required.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate and monitor winch equipment during towing and marine operations.
Assist with towing, mooring, and deck operations onboard the tug vessel.
Carry out equipment checks and report any defects or issues.
Support safe vessel operations and follow onboard procedures.
Comply with company HSE requirements and maritime safety standards.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate
Valid Boat Transfer Certification
Proficiency in English communication
Dutch language skills preferred
Previous experience as Winch Operator on Tug vessels preferred
Relevant offshore/marine operational experience required
