Job Description

Sheffield Energies is recruiting a Radio Operator to support communications onboard a deepwater pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The role involves operating assigned communication equipment, maintaining communication records and supporting effective communication between the vessel, offshore installations and relevant shore-based parties.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Radio Operator on offshore or commercial vessels preferred.
• Valid radio operator certification appropriate to the position and equipment operated.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant offshore certificates, where required.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Good knowledge of maritime communication procedures.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Good command of English.
• Availability for December 2026 mobilization, subject to client approval.
