Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Gangway Operator to support personnel-transfer operations onboard a Walk-to-Work vessel.
The successful candidate will help ensure that gangway operations are conducted safely and efficiently, following vessel procedures and applicable offshore safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the gangway system in accordance with authorization and procedures.
- Conduct pre-use checks and operational inspections.
- Monitor gangway conditions during personnel-transfer operations.
- Coordinate with the bridge, deck team and offshore installation personnel.
- Ensure safe access and transfer procedures are followed.
- Maintain operational records and report equipment abnormalities.
- Participate in toolbox talks, drills and emergency-response activities.
- Comply with company HSE procedures and stop work when unsafe conditions arise.
Requirements
- Brunei nationality – mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years / 24 months of relevant experience in the applied rank or a comparable offshore position.
- Previous offshore vessel experience.
- Gangway-operation experience and relevant system-specific training or certification.
- Valid STCW and offshore safety certificates, as applicable.
- Valid medical documentation.
- Good communication skills and strong safety awareness.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vessel and offshore personnel.
