Job Description:
Helder Maritiem is currently recruiting an experienced Barge Pilot / Winch Operator to join an Offshore Barge based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Joining is scheduled for 24 July 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for barge positioning, mooring operations, and the safe operation of constant-tension winches during offshore activities. Previous experience with 7-point mooring systems is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate barge positioning and constant-tension winch systems.
Perform 7-point mooring operations safely and efficiently.
Monitor mooring equipment and ensure safe offshore positioning.
Conduct routine inspections of winches and associated equipment.
Comply with company HSE procedures and offshore operational standards.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Croatian or EU nationality
Valid maritime certificates
Mandatory A1 Certificate
Previous offshore barge experience
Proven experience with 7-point mooring systems
Experience operating constant-tension winches
