Job Description

TOS People is seeking an experienced Oiler to join a Jack-Up Barge offshore project.

The successful candidate will assist the engineering department with machinery monitoring, lubrication, routine maintenance, and engine-room housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of engine-room machinery.
• Monitor lubrication levels and machinery conditions.
• Carry out routine inspections and report equipment abnormalities.
• Support preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in engine-room spaces.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and servicing tasks.
• Follow instructions from senior engineering personnel.
• Comply with company procedures and onboard safety requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as an Oiler on Jack-Up Barges or similar offshore vessels.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant professional qualifications, as applicable.
• Practical knowledge of engine-room operations, lubrication, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of engine-room safety procedures.
• Good English communication skills.
• Reliability and ability to work effectively within an engineering team.
• Availability for offshore mobilisation as required.
