Job Description:
A leading offshore operator is recruiting an experienced Oiler to join a Dredger operating in Portugal. The successful candidate will join the vessel on 17 August for a 5-week assignment.
Open Position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering officers in the operation, maintenance, and repair of engine room machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Monitor machinery performance and report any defects or abnormalities.
- Maintain engine room cleanliness and comply with company maintenance procedures.
- Support safe vessel operations in accordance with company HSE policies and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate for the position.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
- Seaman's Book.
- Valid Passport.
- Previous experience as an Oiler on dredgers or similar vessels is preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
