Job Description
Select Offshore is seeking experienced Greaser / Motorman candidates for two upcoming offshore vessel assignments. These opportunities are suitable for qualified engine-room personnel with relevant maritime experience and the required certificates.
Candidates must meet the specific documentation, certification, and nationality requirements for their chosen assignment.
Positions Available
1. Greaser / Motorman – Dredger
- Start Date: 15 November 2026
- Rotation: 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
- Required Certificates: FWP, BST and DSD
2. Greaser / Motorman – Rock Installation Vessel
- Start Date: 25 November 2026
- Contract Duration: 6 weeks
- Eligible Nationalities: Lithuanian, Latvian or Romanian only
- Required Certificate: STCW III/5 Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist with routine engine-room operations and machinery maintenance
- Lubricate, inspect and maintain engine-room equipment
- Monitor machinery condition and report defects or abnormalities
- Assist engineers with maintenance and repair tasks
- Maintain engine-room cleanliness and safe working conditions
- Follow onboard safety procedures and company requirements
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience as a Greaser, Motorman or in a similar engine-room role
- Valid maritime certificates required for the selected assignment
- Valid passport, seaman’s book and medical certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work as part of an engine-room team
Assignment-Specific Requirements
Dredger
- Valid FWP, BST and DSD certificates
Rock Installation Vessel
- STCW III/5 Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Lithuanian, Latvian or Romanian nationality
