Job Description

Sheffield Energies is recruiting Mechanics / Hydraulic Technicians for a deepwater pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The role involves inspecting, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems used in vessel machinery and offshore construction equipment, helping ensure safe and reliable operations.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical or hydraulic maintenance experience in the marine or offshore industry preferred.
• Experience on pipelay, heavy-lift or offshore construction vessels is an advantage.
• Relevant mechanical or hydraulic technical qualifications.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders and associated systems is preferred.
• Valid STCW and offshore certificates, where applicable.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Good command of English.
• Availability for December 2026 mobilization, subject to client approval.
