Job Description:
A leading offshore operator is urgently recruiting an experienced Second Engineer (1st Engineer / 1. Maskinist) to join a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) operating in Norway. This is a 4-week relief assignment, with joining scheduled for 18 August.
Open Position:
- Second Engineer (1st Engineer / 1. Maskinist)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the engine room and auxiliary machinery.
- Monitor the performance of propulsion, power generation, and mechanical systems.
- Carry out planned preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISM Code, SOLAS, and MARPOL requirements.
- Maintain engine room safety standards and accurate maintenance records.
Requirements:
- Minimum M2 Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate.
- Valid STCW Security Duties certificate.
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
- ERM (Engine Room Resource Management) certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book.
- Valid Passport.
- Previous experience as Second Engineer (1st Engineer / 1. Maskinist) on PSV or similar offshore vessels is preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
