Job Description:
Our client, an established drilling and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Offshore Mechanic Foreman to join various offshore projects operating worldwide.
The successful candidate will lead offshore mechanical teams and oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to maintain high safety and performance standards in demanding offshore environments.
Multiple rotational schedules are available depending on the project location, including 35/35 and 56/28 rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance of offshore mechanical systems and equipment.
- Leading and coordinating mechanics during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work.
- Supervising and assisting with mechanical repairs, servicing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution.
- Enforcing HSE procedures, including Permit to Work, isolation procedures, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Reporting incidents, equipment defects, operational anomalies, and critical issues to the appropriate engineering management.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free working environment.
- Working closely with engineering leadership to implement maintenance plans and resolve technical problems.
- Ensuring all mechanical activities comply with required quality, safety, and performance standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of offshore experience as a Mechanic Foreman.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and offshore maintenance procedures.
- Strong understanding of offshore HSE and safety protocols.
- Experience with Permit to Work and isolation procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively under demanding offshore conditions.
- Proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work on rotational offshore assignments.
