Job Description
Advance Global Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Offshore Drilling Mechanic for a short-term project in the UK.
The assignment is expected to start on 22 July 2026 and will last approximately 1 week. The Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment used in offshore drilling operations.
The role involves maintaining drilling machinery and auxiliary systems, carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, and supporting the safe and reliable operation of drilling equipment in accordance with operational procedures, safety standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical drilling equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement appropriate repairs.
- Maintain drilling machinery and associated auxiliary systems in safe operating condition.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with offshore safety procedures and client requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Offshore Drilling Mechanic
- Relevant mechanical / drilling equipment experience
- Valid BOSIET – Required
- MIST – Required
- Valid OGUK Medical – Required
- Escape Chute training – Required
- Valid offshore documentation
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to mobilise for a short-term UK offshore assignment
