Job Description
Navis Crew Management is currently seeking an experienced Master to join a Self-Propelled Jack Up Barge DP2 operating in the offshore oil and gas sector in the UAE and Qatar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation, DP operations, marine coordination, crew management, regulatory compliance, and efficient offshore project execution.
This opportunity is ideal for Masters with proven experience onboard Self-Propelled Jack Up Barges engaged in offshore operations.
Position Available
Job Responsibilities
- Assume full command and responsibility for the vessel
- Ensure safe navigation and DP operations during offshore activities
- Coordinate marine operations with offshore project teams
- Supervise deck and engine departments
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE policies
- Conduct emergency drills and safety meetings
- Manage vessel documentation and statutory certification
- Maintain safe and efficient offshore operations at all times
Requirements
- Master's Unlimited Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 18 months of experience as Master onboard a Self-Propelled Jack Up Barge
- Valid STCW 2010 certification package
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) and Flag State Endorsement
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman book
- Valid medical certificate
- References from previous employers
- Seaman's book pages confirming sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership and offshore operational experience
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Physically and medically fit for offshore service
