Job Description
A leading offshore operator is currently seeking an experienced Master to join a Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge DP2 supporting offshore oil and gas projects in the UAE and Qatar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe navigation and overall command of the vessel, offshore marine operations, crew management, dynamic positioning support, and ensuring full compliance with international maritime regulations and company HSE policies.
This opportunity is ideal for Masters with proven experience on Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barges engaged in offshore operations.
Position Available
Job Responsibilities
- Assume full command of the vessel during offshore operations
- Ensure the safe navigation and operation of the Jack-Up Barge DP2
- Supervise bridge, deck, and engine department activities
- Coordinate offshore project operations with client representatives
- Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company HSE procedures
- Conduct emergency drills and safety meetings
- Maintain operational readiness and vessel documentation
- Lead and manage multinational crew members
Requirements
- Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 18 months of experience as Master onboard a Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge
- Valid STCW certification package
- Valid CoC and Flag State Endorsement
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman book with sea service records
- Valid medical certificate
- Previous employer references
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and safety management skills
- Physically and medically fit for offshore service
