Job Description
A leading international shipping company is currently seeking an experienced Master to join a modern ConRo (Container Roll-on/Roll-off) vessel operating between the Spanish Mainland and the Canary Islands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation, cargo operations, crew management, and compliance with international maritime regulations while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety.
This opportunity is ideal for Masters with extensive ConRo or Ro-Ro cargo vessel experience seeking a well-paid short-term contract.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain overall command and safe operation of the vessel
- Supervise navigation, cargo handling, loading, and unloading operations
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and Flag State requirements
- Lead and manage all onboard departments and crew
- Maintain safe voyage planning and operational readiness
- Conduct emergency drills, safety meetings, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and international maritime standards
- Prepare statutory reports, voyage documentation, and operational records
Requirements
General Requirements
- Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC) with Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW 2010 certification package
- Minimum 24 months of actual onboard experience as Master on ConRo, Ro-Ro, or similar cargo vessels
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman's book
- Valid medical certificate
- Updated CV with complete sea service history
- Copies of all seaman's book pages confirming sea service
- References from previous employers
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Excellent English communication skills
- Strong leadership, navigational, and ship management skills
- Physically and medically fit for sea service
