Job Description:

Boreas Maritime is recruiting an experienced Master to join Tug Boat, operating around Jamaica and Caribbean routes. The company is seeking a qualified maritime professional with proven tugboat experience and strong leadership skills to oversee safe vessel operations.

Candidates based in the Caribbean or Latin America are particularly welcome. A valid US visa is an advantage but is not mandatory. The successful candidate must be fluent in English and hold the appropriate maritime qualifications for the position.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safe navigation and overall operation of the tugboat in compliance with applicable maritime regulations.
• Supervise towing, manoeuvring, and other vessel operations.
• Coordinate onboard activities and manage the crew.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and emergency preparedness requirements.
• Oversee vessel readiness, operational checks, and onboard maintenance standards.

• Relevant maritime qualifications and valid certificates for the Master position.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proven experience as a Master aboard tugboats.
• Fluency in English.
