Job Description

TOS People is seeking an experienced Master to join a Jack-Up Barge for an upcoming offshore project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command, safe navigation, operational management, and supervision of the vessel and its crew.

Previous Jack-Up Barge experience is required. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, sound operational judgment, and a thorough understanding of offshore safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall command of the vessel and ensure safe operations.
• Supervise crew performance and coordinate daily vessel activities.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate offshore operations with project personnel and shore-based management.
• Maintain emergency preparedness and conduct safety drills.
• Monitor vessel readiness, maintenance requirements, and operational documentation.
• Ensure effective communication between the bridge, deck, engine department, and project team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Master on Jack-Up Barges.
• Valid Master Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel and position.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman's Book, where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of offshore vessel operations and safety management.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to meet the project's mobilisation requirements.
