Job Description

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Master to join a DP1 Survey Vessel operating in Namibia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe navigation and overall command of the vessel, supervising onboard operations and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures and applicable safety standards.

Candidates must be based in Namibia and hold full DP qualifications as specified by the recruiter.

Key Responsibilities

• Command the vessel and ensure safe navigation and operational readiness.
• Supervise deck operations and coordinate onboard activities.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company safety procedures.
• Monitor vessel positioning and DP operations within the scope of the vessel’s DP1 system.
• Lead the crew and coordinate emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate vessel, safety and operational records.

Requirements

• Must be based in Namibia.
• Valid Master’s Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Full Dynamic Positioning (DP) qualification, as required by the recruiter.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Fast Rescue Boat certificate.
• Valid passport.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid Seaman’s Book.
• Relevant experience as Master on survey or offshore vessels is preferred.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join on 4 November 2026 for the full six-week assignment.
