Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Master to join a DP Research Vessel operating in the offshore sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command of the vessel, ensuring the safe navigation, efficient operation, and successful execution of offshore research activities while maintaining full compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.
This position is ideal for an experienced Master with previous service on DP offshore vessels and the ability to lead a multinational crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Ensure the safe navigation and overall operation of the DP Research Vessel.
Lead and supervise all onboard personnel, maintaining high standards of safety and operational performance.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISM Code, flag state, and international maritime regulations.
Coordinate vessel operations with clients, offshore personnel, and shore management.
Conduct emergency drills, safety meetings, and oversee risk management and environmental protection procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Valid Master Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2 or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of experience in the rank of Master on a DP Research Vessel or similar offshore vessel.
Experience working with a multinational crew.
Good English communication skills.
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
