Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced Master to join a Crewboat. The successful candidate should have previous experience working as a Master on the same or similar type of vessel, as well as experience sailing on foreign-going vessels.
The Master will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, navigation, crew management, and compliance with applicable safety and company procedures. Candidates must have good English communication skills, a sound understanding of vessel engines, and be ready to join ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Take overall responsibility for the safe navigation and operation of the Crewboat.
- Supervise and coordinate the vessel's crew and daily onboard activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable maritime regulations.
- Monitor vessel machinery and equipment and coordinate with the crew regarding operational requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with crew members, shore management, and relevant parties.
- Ensure the vessel is maintained in a safe and seaworthy condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Master on the same rank and similar vessel type.
- Experience sailing on foreign-going vessels.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Good understanding of vessel engines.
- Strong knowledge of safe vessel operations and navigation.
- Ability to effectively manage and lead the vessel's crew.
- Must be ready to join ASAP.
