Job Description

Apremar is seeking an experienced Master to join its offshore fleet onboard a Conventional Tug or ASD Tug.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command of the vessel, safe navigation, crew management and the coordination of marine operations. The Master must ensure compliance with company procedures, applicable maritime regulations and offshore safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall command of the vessel and ensure safe navigation.
• Supervise towing, manoeuvring and other assigned marine operations.
• Manage deck crew and coordinate daily vessel activities.
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain vessel documentation and operational records.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and safety drills.

Requirements

• Valid National Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate to the Master position.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on offshore vessels.
• At least 6 months of experience on the same vessel type.
• Previous experience as Master on Conventional Tug or ASD Tug vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant professional endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate, passport and seaman’s book, as applicable.
• Strong leadership, navigational and communication skills.
• ADNOC approval eligibility is an advantage.

Employment Details

Vessel: Conventional Tug / ASD Tug
Rotation Options: 4 months on / 30 days off, or 2–3 months on / 1 month off, depending on the assignment.
