Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Barge Master for upcoming Cable Lay operations commencing in August/September on a 12-week rotation schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing barge operations, maintaining safe working practices onboard, and ensuring efficient execution of offshore cable lay activities in accordance with company and international maritime standards.
Candidates with previous offshore and cable lay project experience will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervising daily barge and deck operations
Coordinating offshore cable lay activities safely and efficiently
Ensuring compliance with marine and safety procedures
Managing operational communication with onboard and offshore teams
Monitoring vessel stability, positioning, and operational readiness
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Previous offshore experience preferred
Cable lay project experience preferred
Good English communication skills
