Job Description:
Our client, a drilling and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Deck Foreman to join various offshore vessels operating worldwide.
The Deck Foreman will lead and coordinate deck, rigging, and lifting activities, ensuring that all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved lifting procedures. The role involves supervising riggers and crane operators, managing deck space, and ensuring that lifting equipment is properly certified, maintained, and safely used.
The position is offered on a rotational basis depending on the project location.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and direct rigging crews and crane operators during lifting operations.
- Supervise rigging and derigging activities and ensure compliance with lifting procedures.
- Manage deck space to optimize the movement of cranes, forklifts, personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all lifting and rigging equipment is certified, inspected, fit for use, and properly stored.
- Monitor lifting gear before, during, and after operations and report any damage or unsafe conditions.
- Conduct toolbox talks and prepare JSAs when required.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist with marine operations when required.
- Stop work immediately where continuing an activity could result in injury or damage.
- Report to the 1st Assistant during offshore operations.
Requirements:
- High School / Secondary Education.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Deck Foreman within offshore construction.
- Mandatory English language skills.
- Valid BOSIET.
- Valid H2S Training.
- HSE Induction Course.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- ATEX / Cable Glands training highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of offshore lifting and rigging operations.
- Ability to lead and coordinate deck teams in demanding offshore environments.
Employment Details:

- Start Date: To be confirmed; contract begins on the employee's designated departure date to the work location.
- Rotation: 56/28 or 112/28, depending on project location.
- Working Schedule: 12 hours/day, 7 days/week.
- Salary: Consolidated monthly salary, paid only while working. Candidates should state realistic expectations in EUR/GBP/USD.
- Insurance: Death & Disability, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, and Income Protection provided by the company.
- Flights: Prepaid Economy Class flights at the beginning and end of contract and for each leave rotation cycle.
