Job Description: We are hiring an experienced Single Engineer to join an AHT (Anchor Handling Tug) vessel operating in the UK / Europe region. The role involves full responsibility for engine room operations onboard a single-handed engineering setup, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous performance of all machinery during offshore towing and anchor handling operations. The engineer must be confident working independently and managing all technical aspects of the vessel.
Key Responsibilities: As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to: • Full responsibility for engine room operations on AHT vessel
• Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all machinery and systems
• Ensure safe and efficient performance during towing and anchor handling operations
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance onboard
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Manage technical readiness of vessel systems independently
Requirements: • Proven experience as Single Engineer on AHT or similar offshore vessels
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid UK Frontier Work Permit (mandatory)
• Strong technical and hands-on engineering experience in offshore operations
• Ability to work independently onboard vessel
• Proficiency in English communication
