Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Officer to join a DP Research Vessel operating in the offshore sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safe and reliable operation of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard while supporting scientific and offshore research operations.
This position is suitable for candidates with previous experience on DP offshore vessels and the ability to work effectively in a multinational crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate, maintain, and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure continuous operation of vessel systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
Maintain power generation, distribution, automation, navigation, and communication systems.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, class requirements, and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Valid Electrical Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
Minimum 2 years of experience in the rank of Electrical Officer on a DP Research Vessel or similar offshore vessel.
Experience working with a multinational crew.
Good English communication skills.
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
