Job Description

Clyde Recruitment is seeking a qualified and motivated Junior Dynamic Positioning Officer (Junior DPO) to join a Jack Up Barge operating in the UK.

The successful candidate will support bridge operations, vessel positioning and offshore activities while working under the supervision of senior deck officers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bridge watchkeeping and navigation duties.
• Support Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations under supervision.
• Monitor vessel position, heading and relevant navigational systems.
• Assist with offshore positioning and operational activities.
• Maintain bridge records and operational documentation.
• Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks and emergency procedures.
• Follow vessel operating procedures and offshore HSE requirements.
• Work closely with the Master and senior officers to ensure safe operations.

Requirements

• Relevant maritime qualification, such as an OOW Certificate of Competency, as applicable.
• Appropriate DP training or certification for the position.
• Previous experience on DP vessels or offshore units preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer's documents, as applicable.
• Good command of English.
• Strong communication, teamwork and safety-awareness skills.
• Ability to work in an offshore environment.
