DPO for DP3 Semi-Submersible Crane Accommodation Vessel (Mauritius)

Job Description:

We are looking for a DPO (Dynamic Positioning Officer) for a Semi-Submersible Crane Accommodation Vessel (DP3) . This is a specialized position requiring experience on similar vessel types and specific experience with Converteam DP systems. The assignment starts on 22nd April in Mauritius, with duration to be confirmed. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced DPOs seeking a short-term project on a complex DP3 semi-submersible unit.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy and position, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

· Operation and monitoring of the dynamic positioning system to maintain vessel position and heading
· Supervision of DP operations in accordance with the vessel's Operations Manual and FMEA procedures
· Coordination with the bridge team, marine department, and offshore installation management
· Compliance with all DP watchkeeping requirements, incident reporting, and system testing protocols
· Maintenance of DP logs, records, and documentation as per company and client requirements

Requirements:

· DP Unlimited Certificate (Nautical Institute or equivalent)
· Recent Converteam experience is a must – please highlight this in your CV
· Experience: On the same or similar type of DP vessels – semi-submersible accommodation, construction, jack-up vessels – is a must
· Ballast Control Operator certificate is beneficial
· BOSIET / FOET / TBOSIET (valid offshore survival certificate)
· Yellow fever vaccination
· Valid STCW certificates as per rank
· Valid Medical Fitness Certificate (offshore)
· Proficiency in English communication (verbal and written)
