We are currently recruiting an experienced 2nd Officer DPO to join an AHTS vessel operating from Cape Town. The role requires a competent navigation officer with proven anchor handling experience and valid DP certification to support offshore towing and anchor handling operations.
The vessel is engaged in offshore support activities, and the 2nd Officer DPO will assist in safe navigation, DP operations, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Master and Chief Officer in navigation and bridge watchkeeping
• Operating Dynamic Positioning systems during offshore operations
• Participating in anchor handling, towing, and offshore support operations
• Maintaining navigational equipment, charts, and bridge records
• Ensuring compliance with safety management systems and DP procedures
• Participating in drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
• Valid 2nd Officer Certificate of Competency (COC)
• DP Unlimited Certificate
• Proven Anchor Handling experience on AHTS vessels
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Good English communication skills
