Job Description

Sheffield Energies is seeking a qualified 2nd Officer / Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) to join a deepwater pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The role includes navigational watchkeeping, passage planning, bridge duties and supporting safe vessel positioning during offshore construction operations.

Requirements

• Previous 2nd Officer experience on offshore or construction vessels preferred.
• Valid OOW Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
• Valid DPO certificate and relevant DP experience.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant offshore certificates.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Good knowledge of navigation, bridge procedures and offshore safety.
• Good command of English.
• Availability for December 2026 mobilization, subject to client approval.
• Expatriate candidates preferred for officer positions.
