Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced Deckhand to join a Crewboat. Candidates should have previous experience working in the same rank and on similar vessels, together with experience sailing on foreign-going vessels.
The Deckhand will support daily deck operations, assist with vessel handling and maintenance activities, and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. Good English communication skills, a sound understanding of vessel engines, and immediate availability are required.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily deck duties and assist with safe Crewboat operations.
- Assist with mooring, anchoring, berthing, and other deck activities as required.
- Handle and maintain deck equipment, tools, and materials safely.
- Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping of deck areas.
- Support the Master and other crew members during vessel operations.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Deckhand on the same rank and similar vessel type.
- Experience sailing on foreign-going vessels.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Good understanding of vessel engines.
- Relevant experience in deck operations and vessel maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a vessel crew.
- Must be ready to join ASAP.
